By posting content on the Book-It Legal Platform, such as profile information or ratings and reviews of other Users, you agree to abide by this policy, our Terms of Service, and all other Book-It Legal policies. This policy is part of Book-It Legal’s Terms of Service, and the terms used in this policy have the same definitions as provided for in our Terms of Service, unless otherwise defined herein.
The successful completion of Projects on Book-It Legal hinges on the professional conduct of student and attorney Users, and this policy also provides guidelines for User behavior when participating in Projects through the Platform.
The Company may suspend or permanently deactivate the account of any User who violates this policy. You can flag and report content that appears to violate this policy by emailing us at email@example.com.
1. Ratings and Review
The Platform’s ratings and reviews feedback system enables Users to build positive reputations on the Platform and helps maintain a trusted and reputable environment. Public feedback comments will be viewable by other Users when viewing profiles and completed Projects. Private feedback may also be submitted by Users which is only viewable by the other User participating in a given Project. Users have the option to not include a review comment but still rate the other User involved in the Project.
All ratings and reviews given on the Platform should be truthful, based on Users’ personal experiences, and intended to provide both recipients and the Book-It Legal community with accurate and helpful information. No User may leave ratings and reviews designed to artificially enhance another User’s reputation or in exchange for a promise for payment or additional services. Withholding Project deliverables, files, or other information needed to successfully complete a Project with the intent to gain positive ratings and reviews is strictly prohibited.
In order to protect the integrity of the ratings and reviews feedback system and to protect Users from abuse, the Company reserves the right to remove posted ratings and reviews or other information that, in the Company’s sole judgment, violates this policy or our Terms of Service.
Attorneys using the Platform should expect to receive quality work product, and we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently deactivate accounts of Users who receive poor ratings or reviews or complaints regarding a lack of professional conduct.
2. Fraud and Misrepresentation
All Users agree to provide accurate and honest information about themselves in profiles and communications with other Users. Specifically, Users must provide true and accurate information on profiles, including education, work experience, biographical information, and writing samples. Users agree to promptly update any change in information appearing on a User’s profile. Though it is not our policy to verify all information provided by Users, we reserve the right to do so, and, if requested, Users agree to assist the Company in the verification process.
3. Harassment and Abusive Content
We do not allow the posting of content, including ratings and reviews of other Users, that attempts to impersonate any other person or entity, including any representative of the Company. All Users agree not to post any content that is discriminatory, vulgar, obscene, or harasses or threatens any other User. No User may spam or repeatedly post content in a disruptive manner or engage in any unwanted contact with another User. Additionally, all Users must communicate in a professional manner when using the Platform.
